At the House of Croatian Army in Poljud, Split, an international conference „Adriatic 2017 - Protection of the Adriatic Sea from Ship Source Pollution" was held from the 2nd till the 5th of October, organised by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia.
The conference gathered more than 200 participants from the public institutions, civil and private sector and media, from Croatia and abroad. Its aim was to to raise the consciousness about the need to protect the see, to eliminate the harmful influences on marine environment and to develop preventive activities, including education and repressive measures.

Dr. Adriana Padovan participated at the conference as an invited speaker, with a presentation titled "Prevention of pollution by the yacht's sewage in the ports of nautical tourism - the legal framework".
